I\u2019ve owned several pairs of Prada Sunglasses over time, and I’ve probably had 5-6 pairs over the years, and I still have in rotation 3 now. The build quality is terrible, and I feel foolish for continuously going back to them. One of the pairs I have is the Linea Rossa PS 50YS with a red rubber accent around the top of the frame\u2014just half a year into owning them, the rubber began detaching and flaps around embarrassingly, making them impossible to wear. <\/p>\n
Why I still haven\u2019t tossed them I might try gluing it back on, but it\u2019s insane I even have to do that at this price point. Similarly, I have another pair with a similar issue\u2014the temple tips have interior rubber pads that peeled off. <\/p>\n
I still use them because I have a huge head and Prada is one of the rare brands designing masculine frames that fit my head. Occasionally there’s a Ray-Ban that works, but brands like OP or Persol never seem to have anything that works for me. I\u2019d love to find a superior alternative, but so far, no luck. <\/p>\n
For the price I\u2019m paying for my Pradas, I\u2019m essentially paying for size and branding, definitely not the quality. To be honest, I don\u2019t even care if I have to wear replicas\u2014the manufacturer honestly brought it on themselves if they can\u2019t even guarantee proper build standards.<\/i><\/p>\n
