{"id":108,"date":"2021-09-14T19:59:57","date_gmt":"2021-09-14T09:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brucesheb.familyds.net\/wordpress\/?p=108"},"modified":"2021-10-10T13:40:42","modified_gmt":"2021-10-10T02:40:42","slug":"scones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brucesheb.familyds.net\/wordpress\/2021\/09\/14\/scones\/","title":{"rendered":"Scones"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Plain flour, for dusting<\/li><li>3 cups self-raising flour<\/li><li>80g butter, cubed<\/li><li>1-1 1\/4 cups milk<\/li><li>Jam and whipped cream, to serve<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Preheat oven to 200deg c.<\/li><li>Lightly dust a flat baking tray with plain flour.<\/li><li>Sift self-raising flour into a large bowl.<\/li><li>Using your fingertips, rub butter into flour until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.<\/li><li>Make a well in the centre. Add 1 cup of milk. Mix with a flat-bladed knife until mixture forms a soft dough, adding more milk if required. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently until smooth (don&#8217;t knead dough too much or scones will be tough).<\/li><li>Pat dough into a 2cm-thick round. Using a 5cm (diameter) round cutter, cut out 12 rounds. Press dough together and cut out remaining 4 rounds.
